Alpha Teacher Development is proud to be working with Best Practice Network to deliver the National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) to colleagues across Essex and Suffolk. 

​

The framework for NPQs have been updated and refreshed for February 2021 and draw from the very latest evidence and research into pedagogy, behaviour, curriculum and more.​

National Professional Qualifications

Scholarships
 

NPQ scholarships for the Spring 2025 Cohort are extremely limited, so please apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

​

The limited funding will target those teachers and leaders who work in the most challenging schools or educational settings, serving more disadvantaged communities.
 

The limited scholarships will cover the full NPQ course cost and will be available to teachers and leaders from:

  • The 50% of schools with the highest proportion of students who attract pupil premium funding

  • 16 to 19 educational settings identified as having high disadvantage
     

Scholarships will continue to be available through Best Practice Network to all teachers and leaders from publicly funded schools and 16 to 19 educational organisations for the following:

  • NPQ for SENCOs

  • NPQ for Headship

  • EHCO (Early Headship Coaching Offer)

NPQ for Leading Teaching (NPQLT)

For those who are, or aspire to, lead teaching in a subject, year group, key stage or phase.

​NPQ for Leading Teacher Development (NPQLTD)

For those who are, or aspire to, lead the development of other teachers.

 

NPQ for Leading Behaviour and Culture (NPQLBC)

For those who are, or aspire to, lead behaviour and culture and/or pupil well-being.
 

NPQ for SENCOs (NPQSEN)

Become an expert in special educational needs coordination and discover how to
cultivate an inclusive culture in your school, ensuring all pupils can thrive.

NPQ for Senior Leadership (NPQSL)

For those who are, or aspire to be, senior leaders leading across a school.

 

NPQ for Headship (NPQH)

For those who are, or aspire to be, headteachers leading across a whole school.

 

NPQ for Executive Leadership (NPQEL)

For those who are, or aspire to be, executive leaders with responsibility across more than one school.
