Early Career Teacher Entitlement
Alpha Teacher Development is working in partnership with TEACH FIRST to deliver the Early Career Teacher Entitlement.
This DfE-funded programme is open to all schools with Early Career Teachers (ECT). Early Career Teacher Entitlement (ECTE) is a two-year programme designed to support early career teachers (ECTs) as they begin their teaching journey. Its goals are to:
-
Develop professional skills
-
Equip ECTs with the knowledge and abilities to meet the teachers' standards
The programme includes:
-
A training course tailored for ECTs
-
Mentor support for ECTs
-
A training programme for new mentors (if the school collaborates with a Department for Education (DfE) funded lead provider)
Starting in September 2025, the term "early career teacher entitlement (ECTE)" will replace "ECF-based training and induction."
