Early Career Training Programme

Alpha Teacher Development is working in partnership with TEACH FIRST to deliver the Early Career Teacher Entitlement.

This DfE-funded programme is open to all schools with Early Career Teachers (ECT). Early Career Teacher Entitlement (ECTE) is a two-year programme designed to support ECTs as they begin their teaching journey.

 

Its goals are to:

  • Develop professional skills

  • Equip ECTs with the knowledge and abilities to meet the teachers' standards

 

The programme includes:

  • A training course tailored for ECTs

  • Mentor support for ECTs

  • A training programme for new mentors (if the school collaborates with a Department for Education (DfE) funded lead provider)

The DfE portal opens to all schools to register ECT(s) starting
in September the week commencing Monday 15 June
